The International Forum for Child Welfare (IFCW) WorldForum, the 19th annual world summit of chief executives from child welfare organizations in 34 countries, just concluded in Cardiff on 1 October.

The WorldForum was opened by IFCW's President, Bruce Rivers (Canada) with plenary keynote addresses by the Rt Hon Rhodri Morgan, First Minister, Welsh Assembly Government and by Jaap E. Doek (Netherlands), Chairman of the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child (2001-2007) in Geneva, Switzerland.
